Just some random updates

It's been a while since we've visited.  How have you been?  Here is what is happening in our world.

Randy

• Only 3 months left until he is done with his MBA!!
• Hired our first office employee last month.
• Staying super busy with running Custom Security & Sound.
• Has cleaned out our shed for winter storage so that it is now the girls' playhouse for the summer.
• Will hopefully be using his Saturday off from school to get our garden ready for peas & onions that need to be planted ASAP.
• Has been to Arizona a few times for work the past month.
• Brought Jenna, Sydney & me cute necklaces back from his trip to Arizona.

Sydney

• Just had a really good report card and a good review from her teachers.  After a slightly rough start, she keeps getting better and better, they say.
• Has been taking a weekly art class from a professional artist since January, which she loves.
• Is excited to get baptized later this year.
• She has really been maturing.  She is willing to do a lot more for herself, which is a big help.  (She would much rather be "served", so this is huge!)  She wants to listen to the adult conversation.  She has been seeking to gain a testimony of her own.
• Has enjoyed having me come to her class a few times to help out with projects.
• Decided she wanted her hair short again.  I personally love shorter hair on her.

Jenna

• Turned 5 last week.
• Was able to have her first ever birthday party.  She was squealing with delight as her friends arrived.
• Just got registered for kindergarten, but doesn't want to get her last 3 immunizations.
• Does very well fending for herself, but on occasion can make HUGE messes with several of her neighbor friends.
• Often tells me that I'm beautiful...all on her own.

We were SO glad to have Randy home in time for her birthday cake. 

 

Bryn

• Is nearly 15 1/2 months old.
• Has been walking more and more.  The past two days she has walked more than she has crawled.
• Loves phones, especially my cell phone.
• Has started throwing fits when she doesn't get what she wants (usually with my phone).
• Says da-da, na (mom), hello, and day-du (thank you).  Jabbers a lot, too.
• Knows how to be silly.
• I really good at entertaining herself.  I've never had a baby play so well alone.

Me

• Exhausted.  I think my extra work has been harder on me than my family...probably because I'm the one that feels so tired & then feels guilty when I take almost-daily naps.
• Tax & customer support work has slowed down a bit, but it's just the calm before the next storm.  I've been busy filling out business & tax applications for summer alarm sales.
• I made dinner 3 nights in a row this week.  That is progress!!
• I really do love all 3 of my jobs--tax preparer, customer support, and accountant.  I've constantly got piles on my desk of things to do, but I really do like what I do.
• I recently purchased the program from Dressing Your Truth and have had some clarity about who I am.  Although I feel confident in myself and like who I am, it is nice to hear from other sources that it's okay that I'm not like everyone else.
• I am excited to go shopping with my sister tomorrow after what I have learned from Dressing Your Truth.  I think we could both use a girls' day out!
