Sydney's birthday is near Pioneer Day, and always during our town's big summer celebration, so she tends to have a few days of birthday activities, but rarely a birthday party.
A few days before, we went to family night at the carnival and let the girls ride a few rides.
The night before, Randy took Sydney & Jenna to a movie in the park, and Sydney had me do her hair so it would be wavy when she woke up on her birthday.
Since she has finally learned how to ride her bike (& got good at it very quickly!), she was thrilled with the basket & streamers we gave her.
She spent the morning riding her bike around & playing with friends.
She spent the afternoon golfing with Randy, Jenna & a few neighbors.
After dinner, she and I took a 3 to 3-1/2 mile bike ride.
Then we had her request of lemon meringue pie for dessert.
She said it was the best day ever.
