Swimming Lessons

Sydney just completed her first set of swimming lessons today. We've never really taken her into a big pool, so she was a bit afraid of the water. She really didn't like putting her head under the water. I had to laugh when she told her teacher, Tynelle, "No thanks" when she didn't want to do something.

Because she wasn't wanting to cooperate all of the time, Jenna and I got into the pool for her lessons yesterday. Jenna loved just floating around in her ladybug floater. I'm not sure if me being in the water helped, but at least I know what we need to work on. I'm sure she will get more comfortable as time goes on and she spends more time in the water.

The big reward for finishing lessons was getting to go on the slide.

I think it turned out a bit traumatic, though...What do you think?

Oh no! Poor kid. Does she like the slide now or is she forever traumatized?
