Labor Day Weekend

I'm not sure where this week has gone, but I'm finally getting around to posting about our Labor Day Weekend. My sister, Dixie, and her family stayed at our house from Thursday until Monday. They were here for a reunion with my brother-in-law's family, but we were still able to spend some quality time with them. Sydney went with them on Friday for a little hike up Payson Canyon and then a barbecue. (Sorry, no pictures.) It felt amazingly refreshing for me to run errands with only one child!

We spent Friday night with Dixie's family...barbecuing hot dogs for the kids and shrimp & veggie kabobs for the adults. Josh's brother's family came over. We then played Uno Attack before us girls went over to a neighbor's house (a friend of Dixie's sister-in-law), who gave Dixie and I TONS of scrapbooking paper and embellishments for FREE!

We spent our day on Saturday with Randy's family. We attended a reunion for his grandpa's siblings & all their children & grandchildren. The reunion was at a beautiful park up Parley's Canyon.
This is our immediate Chipman family, including Grandpa. (Our brother-in-law, David, is the only one missing.)
That evening, we went to an Orem Owlz game with some of Randy's family. Sydney actually enjoyed playing in the playground most of the time.

My favorite blue eyes, with his wonderful parents.
We had dinner and visited with Randy's family on Sunday evening, then returned to our house to spend more time with the Jamison's (Dixie's family). Sadly, I injured my knee while playing Wii bowling. Pretty pathetic!

And finally, on Monday morning, we had breakfast with Dixie's family, as well as my sister, Kelsey, and her husband. The rest of the day was spent relaxing after our busy, busy weekend. We truly do love spending time with our families!
