So, I grabbed her sweet hair. Can hair be sweet? Hers is/was. Before thinking about it too much, I snipped with the scissors. And I thought, "Oh, that's a bit shorter than I wanted." So I snipped the next section. And I thought, "Okay, I got that one a little bit shorter than the first. Oops." And with that, I had to continue on.
So, what do you think? It's pretty short. Short enough that if it were me, I would want a bit of my neck shaved. Part of me is sick when I look at it, and part of me thinks, "Dang, that's a cute little, stylish haircut!" But that second thought doesn't last very long. I think I might just be trying to console myself.
What do you think?
And then there's this. Her hair curled under just so nicely. Except the one spot she twirled when she was tired. That spot always flipped out. Back to my point. I've already saved her first official haircut, but I'm having a hard time letting go of this. It's still sitting on my bathroom counter...

LOL! And she wonders why I am always so reluctant. Good thing I always want my hair short!
I this it's adorable Keri!
Are you going to put it in a baby book or anything? I think it'd be cool to keep her first hair cut in a journal or something...just get a little baggie for it :)
Haha, that is the one word you never want to hear your hair dresser say, "Oops". It looks like it turned out okay though. It actually looks like she's got more body now.
I think it actually looks cute...I don't think it's an oops haircut at all, it looks full and even and very stylish.
I bet it looks super cute from the front. A cute little bob.
And you can never have too much hair in a baby book, don't you think?
Oh think it's super cute. She looks like a little diva! ps this is Merri not Wes. I don't think he'd use the word Diva.
I like it. You ought to try to do a little A-line next time too. Don't feel bad. She needed to get rid of the baby-mullet. It was time.
P.S. At least her first haircut went better than the time I cut your hair!
Its cute.. and Im sure it'll grow out fairly quickly too if you are concerned about it being too short. I think it'll be easier though for both you and her with it shorter. I actually cut alans hair a little too short today.. but he likes it.. and im sure Jenna is as happy with it as an 18 month old can be.
I think its cute! And no worries if you miss the longer hair it will grow back before you know it!
I think it's SO cute!! Good cutting job. I would do a butcher job if I tried to cut Liv's hair :)
Keep it! I think she looks so cute! I want to see a frontal view.
too cute! You did a great job!
The first time I cut Ana's hair I cried. I thought I made her look like a boy. She had these two long sides and it was short in the back so I just evened it out. (She was 8 months old.) I got used to, though. I haven't cut her hair since.
I think it's really cute and stylish. And if you really don't like it, it will always grow out again.
it's cute!! me, i would have butchered it. :o)
Keep the hair. :) And she looks absolutely adorable. I think you did awesome!!
I think it is cute, maybe I'll have you do something with Kara's.
I LOVE it! It is darling!!
She looks beautiful. I always hated the first haircut and from there it only got easier.
Good job. I don't dare cut my girls' hair. I only cut Brian's hair. The good thing about hair, it always grows, so no worries. But, honestly it looks just fine. You are too hard on yourself!
Hey Keri, it's Courtney. You know the one who lives down the street from you, but is too fat and lazy to waddle down the street to see you? Anyway, just letting you know I'm starting a blog and someday I'll figure it out. Have a good one!
Jenna's haircut is adorable! And all else fails, it grows. :D
