Satisfaction: We got a new, inexpensive vacuum on Saturday. We used gift cards, so it ended up costing us less than $9 of our own money for it. It did an amazing job compared to our old vacuum. Who would have thought at an inexpensive, loud, 5 1/2 year-old vacuum would need to be replaced? All I know is that I will finally be vacuuming more often. Oh, my carpet looks good!
Organization: I went through all of our paper files and threw out a lot & permanently filed away the rest. Now my "everyday" files are cleaned out and ready for a new year. It feels so good!
Togetherness: Since having kids, it seems that we all get out of the house less and less. We enjoyed shopping together at Lowes & then going to dinner at McGrath's at the Gateway Mall in SLC. It was so nice to just be out with my family.
Suffering: We're all sick in some form or another with a cold, cough, or sore throat. I was able to get a long nap in yesterday. Poor Jenna has a constant snotty nose. I think she feels the worst, or at least she knows how to "complain" the loudest!
Uplifting: Yesterday was our stake conference. Our stake is huge, so we were assigned to view it from another building. Since we were all sick & knew that it was broadcasted over a local TV channel to the church, we opted to watch from the comfort of our home in our PJ's. It was a really good conference.
Serving: I had the opportunity to meet with others who are organizing fundraisers on behalf of Bless Heather's Heart. It was an amazing meeting, and we've got some great things in the works. I am responsible for getting food donations for a fundraising dinner. I should have help from my bishop's wife, but YIKES! I have no clue what I'm doing. We've got definite time constraints & much to be done. I'm first waiting to know what the max. occupancy of the venue is, so I at least know how many to plan for. Wish me luck!!

Wow, you had a busy weekend! But, it sounds like it was a good one (other than the sickness).
You seem so organized, you put me to shame.
You can watch stake conference at home?????? I'm soooooooo jealous! I can't stand taking the kids to Stake conference to sit in metal chairs and have them cry constantly for 2 hours. I'm so so so so so so jealous!
What an opportunity to serve. You are amazing to take that on. Keep us posted on the details you put together.
