This time it was Sydney's turn. She burnt her hand on an oven burner while I was making dinner. It was quite traumatic for her, especially having to stand at the sink running cold water over it while I finished putting dinner together. It looked like a large spot was going to blister, but my dad (who has burn training), said to put Melaleuca gel or oil on it. Luckily, we still have some from when Randy worked there nearly 4 years ago. It worked wonders, and I don't think a blister is going to develop. After a nap, Sydney's feeling much better.

oh my gosh. this just happened to Sadie last week. Except she was messing with the green beans that just came out of the microwave & spilled some of the liquid on her hand. We washed her up & put mela gel on it right away & the redness went away. she stopped crying right then too. that melagel is the only thing i have left from when i worked there too.
Poor Sydney! I hope her hand is better today.
Poor thing! She looks so sad! I want to get some of that stuff, it sounds amazing!
Your picture is perfect. Really captures the moment! Huggy-wuggy Sid!
Poor Sydney.... that's never fun!!!
P.S. Keri, your life will never be sane!!!! lol!! I think I'll finally be sane when I'm dead and gone -- and not a minute more!
sorry to hear, that burner is a hard lesson to learn. i've burn myself too when i was young.
That's too bad, Syndey looks so sad. I've heard that mela gel stuff works good from others too, I'll have to get some someday (hopefully before Sabrina decides to burn herself)... I guess you and Jenna oughta put a wrap on your hands so you can be cool and fit in with the rest of your fam!
Oh Poor Sydney!
Owie! Poor girl. That's sad.
